Mitsui’s life has been thoroughly torn apart. And just when he is confronted with the reality that is his life, he runs into his old classmate and former friend Sone. Although years have gone by since their schooldays together, neither one has been able to forget their past: Mitsui rejected Sone for being gay. Now that they have reconnected, Mitsui’s only interest is to shame and continue to reject Sone for his identity. But is Mitsui merely projecting…? With complex emotions and a twisted past, Mitsui may also be a victim of his circumstances. *Warning: Child molestation*

This isn’t a manga for everyone and tbh it made me quite uncomfortable at times. This is one of those BL in which the relationship starts very bad, so don’t read it if you’re in the mood for fluff, but the writing is good enough that you end up wanting the characters’ happiness. I think Isino sensei did a good job conveying the story they wanted to tell. Unfortunately I think in a heteronormative and homophobic society like today’s world, there are gay men who struggle with their sexuality like Mitsui does and cope with internalized homophobia in such an unhealthy way. In that sense, I think this manga does a good job telling a story that feels real but is also hopeful and makes you sympathize with the characters.
