Detective Randy “Ryo” Maclean has just arrived at the NYPD 27th precinct. It’s not long before is he out on a narcotics case with his new buddy Dee Latener, the brash and self-confident troublemaker, who might be eager for more than just a business partnership with Ryo. Follow the NY cop duo Dee and Ryo in action against crimes, and for a possible romance-to-be…!?
I never got a chance to read this when I was younger so this rerelease was a pleasant surprise. Alot of care and effort had been put into the release itself, not just simply given a new lick of paint with new cover art. All the original coloured pages are included and also the first part of one of the official djs that covers when Dee first joined the police force. All of this was completely unexpected and I would happily buy anything the publisher releases in the future. Getting back on track, this is a solid police action story. I’m finding myself wanting to know what cases our duo will face next, but getting a sprinkle of BL throughout. There’s no subtlety as Dee incredibly upfront from the get go with Randy. There’s dubious consent with acts such as kissing, but you can already feel how things will end up between them as they start getting to know thier new partner. Being an older title you might be put off at first glance by the art, but it’s something you get quickly accustomed to as the story drags you in.
