Direct sequel to I Hear the Sunspot.
The pacing at the start is cumbersome as it continues on from its previous one shot. You soon forget however as it sucks you back in to Kohei and Taichi’s story.
A challenger approaches this volume in the form of Maya; a cute, hard of hearing girl who gets put with Kohei for assistance. Rather than just being a stick in the love wheel, she does develop on her own (eventually) and shows different experiences of how people struggle with sharing loss.
For our two college boys though, this book is all about discovering what they want from life. What path they want to follow, who they want to be with and is it the right thing? Both need to overcome thier doubts and follow thier true feelings on thier first proper steps into adulthood.
As with book one, it is wrapped up nicely as an ongoing one shot, but the extra story at the end gives teases for would could happen next leaving you wanting more.
