The King is back. With the defeat of his father, Wolfgang Goldenleonard has achieved all that he’s sought — the love of Shin Soohyuk, the power of the throne, and vengeance over the kingdom’s tyrannical ruler. But, Soohyuk, a “possession” of the former king, views their rocky relationship as one of war trophy and victor, despite Wolfgang showering him with affection. As uncertainty grows in the royal courts, forces beyond their control are preparing a second coup d’etat. Will these two be able to keep a grasp on the throne and on each other? The saga of King’s Maker continues in this official second season of the hit BL series!

The first season of King’s Maker has a lot of forward movement that really brings the story alive. This season doesn’t have as much of a plot that pushes it forward sometimes and it a lot more meandering. It gives you more room to thinking about the characters but it doesn’t pack as much of a punch as the original story. I wouldn’t say it’s disappointing but it is different from what I expected.
Note: There are two versions of this story, All Ages and R-18.
