Am I in Love or Just Hungry? by Akane Abe

(2 customer reviews)

All college first-year Hinata Nishiyama wants to do is find a cute upperclassman to fall in love with and fulfill his dream of having a satisfying campus-life experience, but second-year Nao Shibasaki was not who he had in mind! Nao convinces the buff former soccer champ to join his eating circle by telling him it’s full of cute girls. Unfortunately for Hinata, Nao’s a bit of a liar. Looks like the only upperclassman Hinata’s got a chance with is the annoyingly persistent Nao himself!

  1. Phya

A weird, romantic tug of war between the super lewd and super normal trying to pull each other to thier side. Has moments on each end of the scale but when they manage to meet in the middle is the best.
Before re-reading I couldn’t remember much about the book but then it all came flooding back in a good way. Doesn’t break any boundaries, but is a solid read with comedy (incl one of the most memorable panels in BL history IMO) and smut that will leave you feeling full.

  2. SayNerd

So this is a constant re-read in my Kindle. Anytime I just feel like breezing back through a quality oneshot, I find myself buried back in this title. There is a great mixture of smut and humor with your chapters-worth of drama that is appropriate for the oneshot BL formula.
The “It” factor that this title seems to have, I cannot quite put my finger on. The characters are likable, situations relatable (within fictional reason), the classic Akane Abe art is among my favorites… Highly ranked and recommended!
