Haven't read it yet, but I will definitely check it out because your post intrigues me! I love human/not-human romances, but you're totally right that too many of them humanize the not-human character...

The manga itself looks interesting (aside from the recent controversy) but I'm especially excited to see them doing a simulpub release. Hope we'll see even more of those!

@mrbatbird fortunately, it's not a long wait - vol 8 is due out in March. The wait between the last couple of vols was killer (over a year for one of them), so less than six months is welcome!
