Himari Uehara, for a first-year high school boy, knows very little about sex. Without his father at home and having skipped health in middle school, Himari is only confused when he wakes up with his boxers a mess and has no one for advice. Luckily, Himari has Gaku Asada, a new friend from high school who offers to teach him everything and more he missed out in health class.

Suzumaru Minta’s art is beautiful as ever, but I struggled with the main character’s naivety. I don’t think BL needs to be realistic, but parts of this story made me wonder if the bottom was OK. He just didn’t seem to learn or understand what was happening to him in the slightest. It took me right out of the story. I can see why it’s popular though, the art is great.

It was a funny read so much that I pitied for real life friends who are as naive as Uehara when it comes to sexual matters

This is one of mt favorite BL ever. The premise of a teen boy not even knowing what porn or masturbation are might be a bit unrealistic, and there are some scenes that can be considered as dubcon since Himari doesn’t really know what he’s consenting to, but I liked the character work so much that it didn’t bother me. Both characters are really well fleshed out and I just loved how they addressed the conflict in pretty straightforward way. I feel a lot of romance manga in general rely on misunderstandings as a way to create conflict, so in that sense, this one seemed really fresh to me. The art is absolutely gorgeous as well.
