Our two MCs are a guy who sleeps with people for protection and a the ‘unapproaceable’ delinquent from a former Yakuza family.
Given that set up it should be a hit but it’s really bland and doesn’t run with it. I read in two sessions and had to backtrack as I couldn’t remember anything, including one of the MCs(surprisingly Mr Yakuza). First time a book has switched to one shots half way through and I thought thank goodness.
The two oneshots are sweet, the first a kid who ran away from home ends up discovering the love he was missing after being taken in by another teen and his two dads. The other is a sweet love triangle situation set in a flower shop. As it spawned into Blooming Darling, you are better off just reading that.
